Caribbean Tourism

Twenty years ago it was called Island Info Guide.

A look at how Island Info Guide became International Innovation Group, and why destination information depends on structured data, digital systems, and day-to-day operations.

Twenty years ago it was called Island Info Guide. The idea was simple — travelers arriving in a Caribbean destination deserved better information than a rack of brochures. What I learned building it was less simple. The information problem was never really an information problem. It was a data problem, a distribution problem, and a commercial problem wearing an information costume.

That concept has now grown into International Innovation Group — a St. Maarten-based company that builds the digital layer of a destination. Consulting for airports, ports, and hotels on one side. Destinito, our traveler engagement platform, on the other. Strategy and running production systems from the same team — because I have watched too many strategy decks die waiting for someone else to build them.

The platform is live today across multiple Caribbean properties — guest WiFi, in-room TV channels, digital destination guides, and an AI concierge grounded in structured local data. Not a roadmap. Running systems. The name changed because the scope changed. The principle did not — meet the traveler where they are, from the moment they land to the moment they leave.
